3. Instagram is an application and social network of American origin, owned by Facebook, whose main function is to be able to share photographs and videos with other users. Available for Android, iOS, and Windows 10 devices, this means that can be access through a smartphone or a computer. In Instagram you can share photos or videos on your feed (posts) or upload stories that erase within 24 hours. 

We have choose Instagram because the kids can access it through their computers, so they don´t need to have a smartphone. Also you can create an Instagram account with a mail account, so you do not need to have a phone number. We think that Instagram would be appealing for students to use, because is one of the most popular social media among the young people, and they can be already familiarized with it. Another positive aspect of Instagram is that is a really visual platform, you can combine your posts to music, stickers or gifts so the will be more dynamic. Instagram also has lots of useful tools that you can use in an educational way such us, the polls, the tags, the comments, the chat, the notes...

4. We have created an instagram account in which we will be uploading content about intercultural education. Personally, I think that the use of virtual learning communities is a good option because kids can learn through the Internet, in a more interactive and audiovisual way. Although there are also negative aspects such as cyberbullying and screen addiction.
